It offers no choice to do a custom install at all. What was included was a Read Me file that says: "We recommend that you choose Custom install and make sure you specify the correct path to install the VST.", which doesn't even match the install executable. I noticed that there was no documentation at all describing what had been fixed or added included in the update. After downloading the most recent update for Superior 2.0, that I had hoped would add this missing functionality that is included with BFD2 that allows you to match the software to your hardware, instead of the other way around.

Is there something else I need to do to load a kit, besides.choose it? Thanks for any insights. If you are looking for condescending responses from the folks you buy your software from, look no farther! Toontrack is the most Superior in this category. The SD2 VST track has as its Input: Superior Drummer 1 S2-1/S2-1R:Stereo. My SD2 midi track has as its Input: Output is: Superior Drummer 1 I've since had to do a full factory reset on the laptop and I only installed Sonar 8.5 64-bit after the reset. IIRC, I had it working fine when I first got this computer and had Sonar 7 PE 32-bit on here. Might've stumbled onto a solution last time it happened, but didn't write it down, cuz I'm sure hitting a brick wall with it this time. So I might be doing something fundamentally wrong with either SD2 or Sonar. (btw, I thought I'd ask here first, since I've not had much luck in the past with timely help on the Toontrack forums.)īut, having said all that, it seems like this issue might've come up for me before, on a previous fresh install. The path to the SD2 sound folder looks correct, and, as I mentioned, it has no problem finding the sounds when outside of Sonar. All my 32-bit ones run perfectly within the improved Bitbridge. All my other plugs work beautifully - all my old NI Komplete 4 plugs.

I'm in Vista 64-bit, Sonar 8.5 PE 64-bit (got this new laptop a couple months ago). I've tried loading all sort of kits from the presets menu, but, no joy. Whichever drum I click on, the readout at the bottom says "Not Loaded". I can hear everything fine when I run SD2 with the included Toontrack Solo program, completely apart from Sonar but as soon as I try to run it as a Sonar plugin, I look down in SD2's "Memory & Status" area, and it'll say "Total: 580 MB", but under that, where it actually says "Loaded", it'll have "0" in that field (whereas it'll have the full amount listed when I'm outside of Sonar). It shows midi being received, but no sound. Well, I'm finding that I'm not getting sound from SD2 at all - regardless of input source (midi keyboard, piano roll, step sequencer, EZPlayer, etc). I read some posts on here detailing problems that people were having previewing SD2 in 64-bit using EZPlayer Pro. Can't get Superior Drummer 2.0 to load a kit in Sonar 8.5 64-bit
